Throughout his bespoke journalistic career, Derderian has covered some of the most significant stories of our time. He was one of the first New England television reporters on the scene following 9/11. He spent three weeks in New York City covering the horrific events and aftermath of 9/11. He also covered the Columbine School Shooting, one of the earliest mass school shootings in U.S. history, and reported on astronaut John Glenn’s historic return to space.

In his investigative report, Derderian explores how, although still in the early stages of adoption in Connecticut, the system holds tremendous promise to revolutionize emergency response. The Emmy Awards take place on June 7 in Boston, Massachusetts.
